• About Our Center •

We offer a community of professional caregivers with the credentials to not only enhance a child's early social and motor skills, but to also teach basic math, shapes, colors, letter recognition, science and reading.

Our mission is to nurture and educate infants, preschool, and school aged children. To support families by providing a safe, learning environment for children. We provide high quality, developmentally appropriate curriculum-based childcare for children with a focus on their social, cognitive, physical and emotional growth. We do this through age-appropriate play and education for lifelong success. Our commitment to serve drives our focus on building a community that promotes the learning and development of children and youth.

Our Staff

Hello! I am Shrise Young, though the kids knows me as Ms. Lulu. I’ve had the joy of working at Heavenly Creations Childcare & Learning Center for 20 years. As a proud parent of four adult children and a grandmother to two delightful grandkids, my family means the world to me. Outside of work, you can find me engrossed in a good book, nurturing my garden, or enjoying quality time with family and friends.

One of the things I cherish the most about Heavenly Creations is the opportunity to share the love I have for teaching and help lay a strong foundation for our children’s future. I absolutely love being part of these kid’s journey as they grow and prepare for kindergarten.

My name is Imani Wilkins, and I have been a dedicated teacher at Heavenly Creations for over six years. I am passionate abou early childhood education and truly love what I do. I take pride in pouring into each child’s growth, expanding their knowledge, building confidence and taking the necessary steps to reach important milestones. As a lead teacher, I strive to create a safe, nurturing and engaging environment where every child feels supported and encouraged to thrive.

In my free time I enjoy painting, going on walks, and the farmers market. I also love to journal and finding live music/poetry events around Des Moines, including Jazz and other concerts.
